an experimental illustration

I don’t draw or paint nearly as much as I’d like or should. Yesterday I had the crazy idea to do both, but to use watercolours, which I feel I should inform you, scare the crap out of me.

I had no idea what I would draw or paint when I started. I just washed some colours onto the pages and then started with a pencil. This is the result. I think I like it.

Expect more and, hopefully, better.

  1. oh wow that’s fantastic. the rabbit-things are alternately making me laugh, and creeping me out. theres something very spider-like about them. then again, a blank expression is always unsettling.

beautiful combination of materials technique as well.

  2. Thank you very much, Matt! So pleased you like it! 😀

Ooo… I didn’t even think that the little guys might have spider legs behind the grass… * gears turning *

  3. Thank you Jodi and Gia!

Watch out‚Äî I may take the compliments as encouragement and subject you to more! 😀
