On geek maintenance

When cleaning out the hard drive, one must face difficult decisions with a clear and practical mind.
An example conundrum:
Do I really need to keep the pdf instructions for creating an origami Yoda?

(The answer is no. But I’m not saying it was an easy decision.)

  1. Yes, yes, true – but the point is to become capable of throwing things like that away. I’m making my best attempt at becoming more clutter-free, one origami Yoda at a time. πŸ˜€

  2. as a cluttered environment mirrors (most times) a cluttered mind so i see ones computer. an origami yoda pdf is like the birthday card one received from a dear friend or family member but wasn’t thrown out from sentimentality or, more likely, guilt. throw it away. get rid of things that are hindering your life. you say it doesn’t hinder your life? here’s a question…does it help your life?

    if(!life._help) {
    delete things;
    } else {
    things.array(sort, IMPORTANCE);

    and that’s my nerdness for today.

  3. Little did I know that by mentioning such a thing that the origami Yoda would become so popular.

    I’m sure you can Google for it… πŸ˜‰
