Fire on the Maidenhead High Street

Fire broke out on the Maidenhead High Street yesterday. I got some pictures of the action from the back alley on my camera phone (alas, the only camera I had on me yesterday).

I offered my shots to the local paper, but evidently they had plenty already. Oh well – next time I’ll be faster to submit my pictures… (And start carrying around a better camera at all times!)

See a few more shots of the excitement on my flickr page.

  1. Hey Jen,

That’s an impressive pic for a cameraphone. The firefighter in the middle looks like he’s happysnapping the others πŸ™‚

I’m sure the evil BigBrotherCam there in the foreground got plenty of nice photos, in that oh so popular “world’s somethingest something” police footage style.

  2. Thank you! The shots are using the Sony Ericsson k800i. It’s got a nice little 3.2MP Cybershot built in, but I did manipulate the images a bit in Photoshop to lessen noise, even out the levels and such.

You know, I never knew that camera was there until I loaded up the photos! Of course, I’m not really hanging out in the alley that often to notice the surveillance details… πŸ˜‰
