As of today, and after spending four hours at the Home Office in Croydon with a mountain of paperwork, I can remain in the UK indefinitely. April has been one of the most stressful months in recent memory and I’m very glad it’s coming to a close. We’ve moved house, I’ve passed the Home Office Life in the UK test (required for my settlement visa), and finally, qualified and received my indefinite leave to remain endorsement. Yowsa. Phwew. Exhale.
Next step: citizenship. I’m gonna do it, but I’ve got time on my side for that. Let’s at least get the month of May over with first… 😉
