The Cascade at Virginia Water

The great outdoors called to us yesterday and so we ventured over to Virginia Water, a lovely area on the edge of Windsor Great Park, which has appeared in the Harry Potter films. The weather was lovely and the paths were thick with leisure walkers, joggers, and cyclists.

The waterfall photo above is the first time I’ve played around with shutter speed to capture moving water. I know I should’ve used a tripod, but we were hungry and on our way out of the park by the time we spotted it. Though the light was fading fast I think this shot is fairly pleasing anyway. I’m sure I’ll visit it again for a second chance.

  1. Thank you Karen! It was a gorgeous day. Sun, light breeze, flowering shrubs and beds popping out enthusiastic bursts of colour ‚Äö?Ñ?Ƭ¨‚Ćlovely!

If I have time, I’ll go through more shots from yesterday and put some more up on flickr.
