Feeling better and watching bad movies

…isn’t that what being sick is all about? Loafing on the sofa after an afternoon nap, flicking channels until you land on The Horror Channel only to find that the movie they’re showing is considered an important cop/docu-drama from 1948 (no swamp monsters or she-devils in sight), and you still find yourself stuck watching it anyway.

It was He Walked by Night, and is considered “the progenitor of Dragnet.” Yeah, ok. I’m too weak to care, so I watch the whole thing. I persevere, even though it’s The Horror Channel, and this is most definitely not killer shrew or zombie spider related.
* sigh * Illness does funny things to a person.

Well, on the upside, I feel better this afternoon than I have in days. We’re due at Neil’s parent’s place later to try to fix their PC (bloody awful machine) and then a quick trip to the grocery since we’re completely out of fresh food. Although that doesn’t sound like much activity to most people, I know that I’ll be tuckered out and sleeping like a baby by 11 tonight. Perhaps I should check the listings for The Horror Channel later, just in case…

  1. I totally understand where you’re coming from. I’m tired of being one with my couch this weekend, but on the upside I am on muscle relaxers and pain pills. 🙂 Happy land here I come. Hope you feel better.

  2. Good to hear from you! I hope your back is less evil today!

Isn’t it funny how our TV standards lower when we’re immobile? 🙂 lol
I don’t even have good pain pills to blame the numbness on! Hee hee hee
