As the title suggests, not much to report for today, or yesterday for that matter. I’ll give you the skinny on bland details anyway. 😉 (See how much I love ya? See?)
I had every intention of working yesterday. Honest. I didn’t have any specific projects I wanted to tackle, but I managed to float loosely through the day with nothing more than a handful of articles on current Internet Explorer CSS bugs, what’s likely to change in IE 7, and a bit of general usability text read over. Don’t get me wrong, these are important things to concern myself with, but I was not quite the booming one-woman sweat shop of code productivity I’d half convinced I could be on a lazy Sunday. Silly me…
I did get two chats in with family in the states– both my Mom and Aaron. You know, thank goodness for this blog. It’s comforting to know that they (friends and family) back in the US can keep up with what’s going on in my day-to-day life, (good and bad), even when it’s been several days since I’ve had an audio chat with them. Most often, the time difference doesn’t seem to interfere with keeping close, but it can make it trickier to find common times to chat. The blog gives that little bit of closeness that can be hard to schedule. It’s no replacement for a phone call or hanging out for coffees together, but it’s something at least. I think they’re probably glad it’s here… I know I am.
Onward, jEN… what other sedated activities are afoot? Well… I started a new web page project today. I also went for a sunny evening walk with Neil to parts of the neighbourhood neither of us had been to before. That sums up today really. Stop looking for more, ’cause it ain’t there.
But tomorrow… LONDON! I’ll have something worth reading by the end of Wednesday, I promise. I’ll be in London most of tomorrow with Neil for some business meetings and an independent film festival. The camera will likely be attached to my hand, so photos should appear on my dotmac* page by the end of the week. Should be a fun day and I’ll get to meet some people I’ve only been acquainted with through the Britcaster.com forums.
Somehow, I’m gifted at turning a complete lack of excitement into a moderately lengthy post. Talent or character flaw… I’ll let you decide, but keep it to yourself… 😉
