1. I am a Capricorn. I was born in January.
2. I am a Vegetarian… a Lacto/Ovo/Pesco Vegetarian.
3. I am a Mac geek. I have 2 iPods, a MacBook Pro, a Pismo, a dual processor G4 and lots of other fun stuff.
4. I’m a yoga work in progress.
5. I love cappuccino, coffee, tea… I don’t take milk in my tea.
6. I am an only child.
7. I love to cook but hate recipes. I almost never make the same thing twice because of this pain in the ass proclivity.
8. I’ve lived in three different US states and two countries. (I don’t currently live in the US.) I’ve been to eight countries and counting.
9. I didn’t vote for Bush. Or his daddy. Ever.
10. I like rain. Thunderstorms rule. I’ve seen a tornado- it was humbling.
11. I wilt in too much sunshine but sometimes will bask like a cat in a sunbeam.
12. I used to play the drums. I was better at percussion in general. I used to play the bass guitar. Badly. I used to play electric guitar but sold her to help pay for my last move. I was starting to get somewhere with it, but needed the money.
13. I love Absinthe but have no urge to cut off an ear. (mine or anyone else’s…)
14. My first car was a Jeep CJ7 with a lift kit and huge tires. I loved that car. I used to do my own engine and body work.
15. I have had 9 piercings, have 7 currently, and only 5 are in my ears. I did two myself and had one redone professionally.
16. I got my first tattoo around the bottom of my belly button. That was in 1994 I think. I have a lot more ink in my skin now… a lot more. (See my pictures) Nearly all of my tattoos are my own art. I was once asked to design and sell flash. I didn’t. I have a dog’s paw print on my left shoulder blade. It’s in memory of my Elkhound. I still miss her.
17. I’m a cancer survivor. I have decided I’m not getting it again. Ever. It was cervical and I’m glad I can’t procreate. I have made it past the five year mark. Hooray!
18. I used to be a skateboarder. I was best at ramp/halfpipe. My first real deck was a Lucero. I still have my Neil Blender and my Rodney Mullen. They’re very old school now…
19. I love my family very much. My mom is one of my best friends.
20. I love stars.
21. I love to sing and have been told I’m not bad. I sang Slayer’s “South of Heaven” in a High School Talent showcase… with swear words intact. :) I was good and my mom was proud. I still want to front a rock band. I always have.
22. I was “Janet” in the Rocky Horror Picture Show for most of a year. I loved it. I had to sing live in my underwear.
23. I can suck a ball-chain through my nose and fetch it from my mouth. I don’t pansy out and use spaghetti like some people. heh heh
24. I like nearly all genres of music. Even some really embarrassingly cheesy stuff. Everything from Classical to Death Metal. My CD collection is mind-numbingly broad but my favourite band is Queens of the Stone Age (Paw comes in a tight second place).
25. I never liked the Smurfs.
26. I am never growing up… just older. (and better I hope)
27. The hardest drug I’ve done is Acid. I don’t care much for drugs. I haven’t done any for many years.
28. I have an Industrial Design Degree that has helped in my careers indirectly.
29. I don’t really like TV. I’d rather geek. Or write. Or take a walk. Or listen to music.
30. The first horror movie I saw with my mom’s permission was “American Werewolf in London.” I still pretend to stretch my hand…
31. I love to write, though I’m somewhat lacking in confidence about it. I promise to nurture it more. (Update: I’m going for it!)
32. I used to play paintball and got pretty decent at it. I sold my gear to help fund my move.
33. I’ve been in a motorcycle wreck and it sucked. I have scars. I was driving. I’ve been in a car crash. I caused it. I was 16. I nearly totalled the car. I wouldn’t like to repeat either event.
34. I’ve owned a Vespa. She was beautiful. (That’s not what I wrecked…)
35. I’ve auditioned at a strip club. I didn’t take the job, but loved the experience. I’d do it again…
36. I was a radio DJ for a summer. I was about 18 years old. My main show was cool. I had fans. I broke lots of FCC rules. I played songs with naughty words in them. Often.
37. I believe in another plane of existence, but I don’t believe in the traditional roles of God and the Devil. I don’t care what you believe. Respect me and I’ll respect you. The Golden Rule should be practised by more people…
38. I want to get better at CSS, HTML/XHTML, PHP, and loads of other web things. (Update: though I enjoy geeking, I’ve retired from it to write. Feels good.)
39. I used to be a professional shoplifter. I was a teenager. I fenced stuff at school. I got caught when I was drunk and on a dare. I was impaired on liquor I stole. Ironic. I reformed on my own. I take responsibilty for my actions.
40. I have met many rock stars but never slept with any of them. (Though I fantasised about it over one of them…)
41. I’ve been in the back of a police car. I don’t really remember it though. I’ve also run away from police a few times and got away. Those were for curfew issues…
42. I have Attention Deficit Disorder. I’ve been on medication for it, but stopped after a year because I like who I am, flaws and all. I admit that combined with bi-polar depression, it’s sometimes really hard to cope.
43. I’ve met a murderer. He chopped up his girlfriend and dumped her parts in the desert in a snowboard bag. He offered me wine. That was before he went nuts. I didn’t take it. There’s a documentary about him.
44. I used to teach art to 12-14 year olds. I was in high school. I loved it.
45. I wanted to die once. I couldn’t breathe. Asthma can suck ass. I have almost cured myself of it though. I’m working on correcting my eyesight now.
46. I love violent Playstation 2 games and am pretty good at Silent Scope in the arcade.
47. I am ordained, non-denominational, and have performed four weddings. I take it seriously. I like helping people and enjoy performing weddings. I was upfront with my beliefs to each couple and performed the ceremonies they wanted with sincerity and respect. Only one couple wanted me to mention God…
48. I am not afraid to be silly.
49. I have had cyber sex.
