Hopes are up

But I’m trying to keep them in check…
See, I’ve been looking at dog rescues online, and we have an appointment to meet a little dude on Tuesday. Something about his picture just reached out and grabbed me, so I rubbed my eyes [still grabbed me], and called Neil into the room to see if he felt the same.
He did.

No details to post here yet, but we see him as soon as the place opens again after the holiday break. I’ve been in touch with the shelter manager (also a dog trainer) and she says he’s adorable. Now it’s just a matter of whether the spark is there in person.

In my optimism, I’ve already bought one of those grabby stick things that holds a tennis ball for throwing. I’m a glass full kind of girl.
