Newborn lambs and telescope photography

Distant newborn lambs

Neil and I recently bought a Celestron 130EQ MD Telescope to view the gorgeous night skies around the new home, but we also grabbed a camera mount kit in the hopes that we might capture some good-looking moon and star photos. The telescope we got is also capable of looking around the landscape in daylight and with it being lamb season…

We attached my Canon 450D to the telescope and snapped a few photos of the newborn babies on the other side of the valley. It’s going to take some practice for us to get the hang of the telescope (and telescope photography) but with the weather warming up and clear skies appearing more regularly, we’ve got plenty of time to sharpen our skills.
