Face detail from new painting

Painted a nude tonight, which you can see on my flickr page. Full painting is acrylic on 30×20″ canvas board. I think it’s done, but I’ll be more sure when I look at it again tomorrow.

Making lemonade

Turning my lemon of a broken lens into lemonade. Experimental photography using a cardboard toilet paper tube, duct tape, and a broken 50mm lens. Several more photos on my flickr page. No post-processing; photos are straight from the camera.

That was both stupid and expensive.

I knocked into my tripod (it was behind me and I was in my office chair) and the camera and 50mm lens were onboard. The lens would not come off. It was ruined, so Neil took a hammer and screwdriver to it. Camera still works but I’m now looking to replace the lens (£83) and [...]
