Taken last night with my Canon 450D and a Sigma 70-300 using a wired remote trigger. I was sleepy or else I would’ve experimented more with getting a good shot. Oh, and Neil was trying to sleep and I kept smacking my big lens into the glass of the bedroom window…
Nice shot. Can you crop and zoom? I have a 50D and a similar lens and got a nice shot the other weekend – but have cropped and zoomed it to make a nice 6×4 picture.

Thank you- I did enhance it in Lightroom already. It’s not quite enough data to get anything more from the shot. I took it through glass as well, so probably some degradation there too. I’d love to have had your 50D for it though!
Thank you Brian! Yeah, it’s a tricky one. I quickly shot about a dozen and decided this was the best of the bunch. Saw a thing about shooting the Milky Way… that may be my next attempt — if the clouds ever part over England!
