World of Goo – zomg! Where’d that hour go?

The Macheist 3 bundle is live and I am installing and trying the applications. I made the purchase specifically to get iSale so I can get my ass in gear with some eBay sales, but what did I fire up first?
World of Goo.
And there went an hour…

According to the site:

World of Goo is a physics based puzzle / construction game. The millions of Goo Balls who live in the beautiful World of Goo don’t know that they are in a game, or that they are extremely delicious.

The game is so much fun! It starts you off with a few easy tasks (I won’t even call the first couple ‘challenges’) and then plunks you into some situations that make you think about gravity and physics, but also strategy and consequences. I am hooked. I have forced myself to stop playing for awhile to get some work done. Evidently, the game is also available for the Wii – that might explain why it feels like a ‘proper’ game.
