Brought to my attention a couple of weeks ago by Merlin Mann via his Twitter updates, this week contains the 10 year anniversary of the US/Canada release of The Big Lebowski. Unfortunately, I thought it was today (as I had marked on my iCal) but I seem to have marked the wrong day. It was the 6th. I feel like I’m in one of those dreams where you show up somewhere naked. (Naked in a place that’s inappropriate, that is. Those other dreams are just fine.)
Back to The Big Lebowski‚Äî a favourite movie of mine, I even refer to the Dude’s preferred drink, the White Russian, as a Lebowski. I’m sure I’m not the only one.
So, a couple days late, but it’s just fine. The Dude abides.
Looking at the bright side, the release date for the UK was May 1, 1998. I think I’ll see if I can show up on time to that one.
