more pharmaceuticals, writing, plus an unrelated desire to knit

Just got back in from the pharmacy. An ‘emergency’ appointment at the GP’s office earlier this evening produced a slip of paper with a heavy-duty ten-day antibiotic prescription. For those scoring at home: I’ve been ill for a month solid. I tell ya, it’s getting depressing! Right. So, another new prescription and renewed hopes for wellness.

The rejigged deadline for my own personal NaNoWriMo is looking more like by-the-end-of-December than the last hopeful deadline of by-Christmas. So it goes. I WILL get the first draft done. First things first – get well. If I clear out the infection in my head, I’ll have loads of room for creative brilliance. As it stands now, I consider matching my socks to be pretty creative.

Between naps and enduring the part-time job, I’ve been doing a lot of web surfing and reading lately. Even decided to learn how to knit. (Yeah I know, illness can mess with your head.) Anyway, I won an ebay auction a couple of days ago for a mixed lot of (mostly) DK yarn and now need to rustle up some needles. I don’t know what I want to knit, but Neil is excited over the custom socks prospect. I am too.

I’m suddenly very sleepy and hungry. Actually, make that queasy. New drugs must be kicking in. Should eat something and rest.
Good night!
