Windsor and getting to know a new lens

reIMG_3303.jpg

Been out and about in lovely Windsor today. The light has been excellent, the company (Neil) wonderful, and the breaking in of new toys (a new lens for me and a camcorder for him) very satisfying.

Life is awfully good. 😀

Please have a look at my flickr page for a bunch of photos from today.

  1. Nature itself is mostly to praise for the colours, but the lens is pretty good. I got the Sigma 70-300mm APO DG. It’s pretty cool, and one day I may even learn how to use it! lol (I have a book I’m about to study – I’m determined to know what all the marks and numbers on my camera mean. 🙂 )

  2. Thanks Penfold! I look forward to nosing around your flickr… (again… in a not-stalking-you sort of way, of course. 😉 )

  3. I’ve just started to use my camera on full manual mode but I still get a bit lost some days. It’s like being back at school…. I didn’t do my homework properly!

  4. Ooo nice pictures 🙂 I was in windsor too that day, you might have noticed a cyclist on a racer, dressed in all red 🙂 (NO running me over!)

Iv got the same sigma lens, but these days I favour my anti aircraft cannon – 170-500mm sigma. Weighs in at 2.something kg, very heavy! Get some very good pics with it though.
