This is not me whining, honest

Hovering over a space heater this morning was crap. Burning all my candle stocks for humidity control and a few degrees of extra warmth is crap too. Sopping water off of the windows with towels and a squeegee is no picnic since nothing really dries out in the cold anyway.

Thankfully, the weather outside is in the 40s (Fahrenheit) so things could be worse. Wearing layers and trying to avoid opening the fridge or the front door helps trap in those extra few precious degrees of warmth, but it was necessary to crack the door for a pizza delivery last night. Survival needs, really. πŸ˜‰ Actually, cooking produces a bunch of steam and since you already know about the humidity problem, you know that getting a pizza in is honestly a smart idea. (And tasty!)

We’re looking forward to the needed boiler part coming in tomorrow. Perhaps I seem like a wuss, but truly, I can deal with the chill- it’s the humidity control that’s a bigger problem. Fingers crossed that we hear good things from the repairman tomorrow morning! πŸ˜€

  1. I’d trade you some of my dry air for some of your humidity. My little vaporizor/humidifier died a couple of days ago, and I feel like I’m breathing in the Sahara at high noon! I must replace that thing before I turn into a mummy.
