today’s playlist – in case you’re feeling an iTunes spree coming on

What I’m listening to right now:

Mojo from the album “Peeping Tom” by Peeping Tom Feat. Rahzel & Dan The Automator
Peeping Tom - Peeping Tom - Mojo (Featuring Rahzel & Dan the Automator)
It’s another incredibly cool project from Mike Patton. Bow down.

SexyBack from the album “Future Sex/Love Sounds” by Justin Timberlake
Yeah, I know, but it’s a very different sort of track… I like his evolution.

Nancy Boy from the album “Placebo” by Placebo
Placebo - Placebo - Nancy Boy
Remember this one? It still rocks.

Old Fashion Morphine from the album “Escondida” by Jolie Holland
Jolie Holland - Escondida - Old Fashion Morphine
Discovered on the Suicide Girls dvd. It’s smoky hot, mellow, and totally sexy. (Oh, and the song’s all that too… 😉 )

Vicarious by Tool
Tool cannot make bad music. They are not human.

Powdered Wig Machine by Desert Sessions 9 and 10
It’s PJ Harvey and Josh Homme- swirling, pleading. Quirky and gorgeous.

Put It Out For Good from the album “Prom” by Amy Ray
Amy Ray - Prom - Put It Out for Good
A good, youthful rock song with handclaps. High school sucked though, didn’t it.

Cryptorchid from the album “Antichrist Superstar” by Marilyn Manson
Marilyn Manson - Antichrist Superstar - Cryptorchid
Perhaps my favourite MM song. It’s gritty, creepy, but oddly emotional.

pixies – tame (mcsleazy extended remix)
You’ll find it free online… just search for it. It’s worth it.

I Fought the Angels from the album “Universal Audio” by The Delgados
The Delgados - Universal Audio - I Fought the Angels
Toppled my other favourite Delgados song, Accused of Stealing. There is beauty and simplicity building to complexity. It’s a relationship.

Night By Candlelight from the album “Black Love” by The Afghan Whigs
I have a soft spot for the honest vocals of this guy. He’s not perfect and yet couldn’t be more so.

Need One from the album “Quixotic” by Martina Topley-Bird
I guess it was on CSI Miami. I’m more partial to Las Vegas myself, if I’m gonna choose. Though I have to watch some television first, right?

Electric Barbarella by Duran Duran
There may be no other song that can so consistently create absolute joy for me. I can’t explain it, and I don’t care to try.

  1. I see my Justin Timberlake obsession is wearing off on you. I’ve never been more proud of you! 😉
