Aha- one post in particular was to blame for the majority of my IE woes… although I’ve patched it well enough with the use of style=”clear:both;” it still doesn’t behave perfectly/attractively for all browsers. It’s a quick bandage on the problem, but not a fix the pleases me entirely. Thanks for bringing it to my attention Saskia!

Hello and welcome Saskia!

Yeah- I decided that the lack of standards compliance with IE wasn’t really a priority here to a large extent. I actually code cross browser/platform sites in CSS/XHTML as a profession now, but for some reason am lazy with doing it with my own blog.

I’m a Mac user and Safari girlie, but am on IE 6 & FF on the PC and FF & Safari on the Mac pretty much every day… Perhaps I’ll look at fixing it- I suppose it would make a better experience for all.

Hi Jen,

You’ll probably know but eh.. the layout of your site is different in I-Explorer then in Firefox (for example). I guess you’re a Firefox or Mozilla user? It looks like the content is shifted to the left in I-Explorer. A margin/padding issue in CSS maybe?

Neil helped me fix the calendar permalinks… the prob was addressed on the WP site so he guided me through the repair. I’ve no idea how long my calendar might have been down, but I guarantee I never touched the .htaccess file in recent tamperings… Weirdness.
Funky behaviour nipped- now time for bed…
